W.E.A.V.E or Women Escaping a Violent Environment has two thrift stores in the Sacramento region.


Men's Coats and Shoes

Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services operates a
Clothing Closet. They are especially in need of Men's clothes and shoes. 


Books

Friends of The Library Book Den - Sacramento - Please visit the
Friends of the Library website for specifics.  

The
Sacramento SPCA thrift store accepts book donations throughout the year. They accept gently used books (no torn, tattered covers or broken spines; no encyclopedia sets or library books) including old, rare books and periodicals.Anyone interested in making a book donation should call the Special Events office at (916)383-7387, ext. 9062 or 9103 or bring your books to the Sacramento SPCA, 6201 Florin-Perkins Rd., Sacramento, during normal shelter hours, generally Tuesday through Sunday, 11 am to 6 pm. Closed Monday.


Used Eyeglasses

Bring your used eyeglasses to your optical store. Most will send to the
Lions club program.

Check your local food banks for their hours and regulations.
